A Message from our Founder

As an experienced Human Resources Director, like most of my peers I have worked to make the functions of my office more and more paperless. Over the years most employers switched to an online applicant tracking program. More recently the trend has been to get more access to internal forms online. The company I work for, like most organizations, has taken these steps, however, one area of administrative services that really hasn't been improved upon is the applicant interviewing process.

In organizations today the HR department contains a limited sample of pre-printed interview questionnaires for each type of position vacancy. As HR folks, we forward a copy of the pre-determined interview document to the interview managers and committees at each work location. The hiring managers who receive the questions hope the pre-determined interview document will match their particular vacancy needs. Unfortunately, this is rarely the case since most of the interview documents were created years ago and do not contain questions that reflect the current responsibilities for the incoming employee nor do they normally reflect the company's current use of technology.

This challenge I described is one each company can relate to... for example, over the course of a year a if an employer hires approximately 100 new employees they may interview 500 - 600 candidates. Each hiring manager may have a hiring committee which may be made up of four to five interview committee members. If each predetermined printed interview document is two pages long and each interview committee member has their own copy of the old and inadequate interview questionnaire, 600 interviews held by an interview committee averaging five people adds up to thousands upon thousands of pages of interview notes each year. In addition to the storage of all this paper, maintaining the confidentiality of these documents is a task most organizations take very seriously. The problem increases with the number of work sites or departments within an organization.

To address this problem I started a new company - Interview Solutions, LLC. The Interview Solutions team and I then developed a program called the Interview Management System.

The Interview Management System is designed to relieve each HR department's headaches by providing an easy to use, web based, interview program that allows for the flexibility needed in today's work environment while making your records retention needs manageable.
